Best Start-Up for Cloud Hosting – CloudLinux

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

CloudLinux announced today that it is a finalist in the 2010 Cloud Computing World Series Awards. Cloud Linux is featured in the “Best Start-Up” category.  This event recognizes companies that were founded after January 2009 and provide a cloud-based product or service in the cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) market.

“We are honored that Cloud Linux has been nominated as a finalist in the “Best Start-Up” category,” states Igor Seletskiy, CEO and Founder of Cloud Linux Inc. “CloudLinux was designed to be a simple and elegant solution that helps companies improve server efficiency, density and performance so they can take advantage of Cloud-based services. We know the competitive field is tough, so making it to the final round is very exciting for our eight month old company.” CloudLinux is crucial for web hosts and data centers that require better control and efficiency from their infrastructure so that they can adapt to new cloud-based services. CloudLinux’s proprietary approach is an RPM-based Operating System that uses CloudLinux’s own kernel with new Lightweight Virtual Environment™ or LVE Technology to provide “crash proof” multi-tenant server environments.

CloudLinux is a new commercially supported operating system proven to increase density, stability and performance, helping customers realize reduced operating costs and increased profitability.
