Rackspace cloud has partnered with NASA researchers in a joint technology development meant to leverage open-source

The cloud server infrastructure will be based on Rackspace Cloud Files, while NASA is building a scalable compute-provisioning engine based on its nebula cloud technology. Rackspace hosted a summit on the NASA cloud hosting project in Austin July 13-16, rallying more than 100 technical advisers, developers and founding members to ratify the project road map.
