CoreSite Launches CloudCommunity to Help Companies Develop Cloud Strategies

According to its Monday announcement, CoreSite’s CloudCommunity provides a live test environment for companies’ cloud computing efforts at the company’s Bay Area data center in Milpitas and Los Angeles data center at 900 N. Alameda, as well as a forum to share innovation and thought leadership to help mold the future of computing, storage and communications.

Bandwidth will be provided free of charge, courtesy of InfoRelay, an enterprise-level managed service provider. InfoRelay, an existing CoreSite customer in multiple data centers, also recently expanded at its presence by 50 cabinets at CoreSite’s Northern Virginia data center.

CloudCommunity membership is limited and will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested should contact CoreSite as soon as possible.

Google’s Top Innovators On The Cloud

Google is holding a special event for CIOs called Atmosphere in their Mountain View headquarters today to chat about cloud-based services like Google Apps and Docs.  The panel is called “Google’s Innovators.” It includes some of Google’s most prominent engineers talking about the future of the Cloud and a variety of other topics.
