Federal CIO Vivek Kundra noted that this move reduced the government’s power bill by 68% for the sites, a savings of about $1.7 million. The Federal Government Cloud Hosting program is starting to save them huge amounts or money and green cloud hosting is helping save huge amounts of energy.
