Community Health In The Cloud

Community Health, the largest hospice provider in the Carolinas moved to the cloud today by choosing Peak 10 Inc as their cloud server provider. Community Health will utilize Peak 10’s Enterprise Cloud Plus offering to enhance its technology environment through a visualized platform that has fully managed hosting security and backup services.

“Our organization was planning a complete technology refresh which was the perfect time to engage a trusted IT solutions provider like Peak10,” said Jonathan Williams, the IT manager of Community Health. “We were so impressed by the customized enterprise cloud solution they offered us. They took the time to flesh out the components of our existing environment and implemented the new components that we wanted to add.”

Configure Virtual Private Data Centers In The Cloud

Savvis Symphony launched earlier today with the release of Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC), a new cloud computing offering from Savvis, Inc. that provides clients with 100 percent enterprise-class cloud.

Savvis Symphony offers fully managed hosting services on top of fully managed, enterprise-class infrastructure. The Savvis Symphony suite of cloud services includes:

  • Savvis Symphony VPDC and Savvis Symphony Open – both public cloud services – which offer differentiated service levels with predictable performance for scenarios ranging from development and testing of new applications to automated capacity increases due to seasonality or unforeseen demand for IT resources
  • Savvis Symphony Dedicated – a private cloud service – which allows clients to tailor and scale their dedicated infrastructure at their own pace.

“An enterprise-class VPDC can be configured and deployed in about an hour from anywhere in the world, whereas it often takes up to 90 days to provision physical servers and build out the operating systems using typical IT processes,” said Bryan Doerr, chief technology officer at Savvis.

ElasticStack Cloud Platform

ElasticHosts announced the launch of the ElasticStack cloud platform, a powerful platform that enables hosting providers and data centres to offer own-brand cloud servers to their customers swiftly.

A number of service providers have already licensed ElasticStack with further discussions ongoing in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
